Carpet Afterlife Kills Stains and Odors!

Recently, we announced that we're moving across the state so that I can accept a new job and so that we can be closer to our families. We've been very lucky to have lived in houses with hardwood or tile so far. This makes cleaning up pet messes easier. However, the house that we're moving to has carpet. In order to take the very best care of the carpet possible, we plan to rent a carpet steamer about once a month. In the meantime, if there are pet messes, or even people messes, I've been on the lookout for carpet cleaners that actually work!

I was offered a free sample of Carpet Afterlife and happily reviewed it. I'll need as much help as I can get! The first thing that I noticed about the product was that the label is very nice looking! I really like the pet photos and the font used. Any information that you may need (directions, warnings, features) are all on the label and easy to read.

I'm weird in that I smell things. I guess it comes with being an art teacher (you know you love the smell of new crayons and paper!!). The next test was the scent test. If something is too strong, it's unappealing...especially if it's chemical-based. However, I realized from reading the label that this cleaner isn't chemical-based...it's enzyme based! This is great because enzymes are what keep a pet coming back to the same place over and over. Bleach and other chemicals merely mask the problem area...but the pet can still find it! There's no harsh chemical smell and no chemical side-effects to worry about!! Yes!

Finally, I used the cleaner on the bit of carpet in our current house. I used an old sponge and toothbrush to scrub and wipe and I was amazed at the dirt that came out of the carpet! The spot looked like new in comparison!!

OmegaPet Nail Clipper/File Combo Review!

Any time that I can review a PET product, I'm on it. When you've got around 30 mouths of various kinds to feed, anything helps! If I can test a product that will improve any of my pet's lives, I won't hesitate to do the work to get it!

Recently I was selected to review OmegaPet's Nail Clipper and File combo. My old pair of clippers was ancient (from my days of working at PetSmart) so I was excited to get a new pair to work with! It just so happens that I love this pair than my old pair (not something I thought I'd be saying) for several reasons! 

First: The handle is rubberized. It's easy to grip and, more importantly, hold on to. There's virtually no chance that your hand will slip mid-cut (which could result in pet injuries!). This also makes it comfortable to hold and easy to find a good angle to cut from. 

Next: The overall design is very efficient. The clippers fit in my hand, are easy to grasp, and the file slips in and out of one side of the bottom of the handles. The file is sturdy and works really well on cat nails! This isn't really a matter of use, but I love the color scheme and design! It's cute and sharp looking! They're easy to find quickly because of their coloring. 

Finally: these clippers cut quickly and with no resistance. If your clippers are being "difficult", it's time to replace them. You don't want to continue to use dull clippers or clippers that don't operate smoothly. Luckily, my old clippers hadn't reached that stage yet...they just left a lot to be desired in the comfort of holding. These clippers make cutting quick and painless.

Cute and Cuddly Pet Supplies' Enzymatic Cleaner Review!

As someone who shares a home with twelve cats, four dogs, and various other animal friends, it's easy to have pet odors. It isn't easy, however, to fight them. Recently I was offered the opportunity to review a product to help with this! I was kind of hesitant about fully trusting a product to take care of the problem, but when offered the free sample, I said "why not"?

The first thing I noticed about the product is that the bottle is really big! You're definitely going to get your money's worth! The squeeze spray pump is very easy to use, operates smoothly, and doesn't jam up. The cleaner is pulled up through the plastic straw quickly and easily with very few, if any, air bubbles.

As for the cleaner itself, it is fantastic! I've noticed after using it, pet odors are gone. This is really hard with urine, but it is effective with making the house and floors smell fresher and making the ammonia smell disappear.
